VPNs are compatible with Incognito mode in all browsers. When you connect, your traffic is routed through the VPN server. Even without Incognito mode, the VPN encryption and no-logging policy will provide you with complete privacy.

However, there is a lot more to tell about all this. Indeed, if you think you’re safe using incognito mode on your browser, you should keep reading.

Incognito mode frequently provides people with a false sense of security that is not adequately accounted for.

Which is more Secure: VPN or Incognito Mode?

Understandably, people are curious about this. However, it stands to reason that a VPN is far more secure and safe to use, whatever your concerns may be.

However, when you use incognito mode, you are not protected against anything other than the browser itself. To add that layer of security to your device, you will undoubtedly require a VPN.

    Logging by ISP:

This is the name of your Internet Service Provider. This means that whomever you pay to use the internet can track where you go and what you do.

    History of your browser:

When you use Incognito, you ensure that the computer you’re currently using does not store any information about what you do or which websites you visit. However, your employer (as well as your Internet Service Provider) will be able to see what you’re doing.

    Cookies:

Websites you visit while in Incognito mode will not be able to track you using cookies. Except if you’re logged in. This means that websites like Facebook will still know who you are because you tell them when you enter your login information.

    Does your IP address appear?

You will still be leaving breadcrumbs in the form of your IP address wherever you go in Incognito mode. The IP address is your online personal identification string, which tracks all your movements back to you. A VPN is required to remove these tracks. Nobody can see your IP address if you use Incognito mode.

Is it capable of unblocking websites?

To access geographically restricted websites, you must use a VPN server from the country the website has to allow listed. Due to strict data protection laws, many websites in the United States are blocking visitors from the European Union.

As you can see, a VPN connection protects you MUCH better than incognito mode.

Do VPNs benefit from Incognito Mode?

The problem with Incognito mode is that it does not conceal your traffic or location from your Internet Service Provider (or your boss, for that matter).

Your VPN, on the contrary hand, will do everything.

Your entire data set is encrypted:

All of your data is routed through what is known as a “tunnel.” Your requests will be routed through the VPN servers before being routed to the internet to retrieve the website, information, videos, and so on that, you seek. All of that is now routed back to you, with no indication of where you came from or where the data is being presented (sent).

    Your IP address is hidden:

You are assigned a new IP address when your traffic is routed through the VPN provider. This is not at all like what is happening on Incognito.
